Reiki
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Kee) is a gentle, holistic energy healing therapy that promotes deep relaxation and balance within your animal’s system. This technique can support your pet’s natural healing capabilities and address emotional issues and blocks in the energy field.
Reiki is an ancient healing modality that dates back 2,500 years in India, Tibet and China. It is based on two principles: first, that every living being is made up of energy and second, that all living beings have the ability deep within to heal themselves. To do this, our body and energy centers must be in balance – mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Reiki helps achieve that balance.
Reiki is particularly helpful for animals who suffer from anxiety, overstimulation or nervousness.
Sound Therapy
Sound therapy uses specific frequencies to promote relaxation, reduce anxiety and improve overall well-being. It is extremely helpful for animals who struggle with car rides vet visits, fireworks or thunderstorms. Sound treatments have been shown to relax muscles, alleviate pain, reduce stress, calm hyperactivity and improve sleep quality.
Scientific research supports the use of sound therapy for both humans and animals Sound baths are a unique therapy that benefit humans and animals simultaneously. Animals and their humans are immersed in soothing sounds, tones and vibrations, using instruments, such as singing bowls, chimes and flutes. Sound baths help calm the nervous system. When a person or animal feels fear, stress hormones like cortisol surge through the body. The right sounds decrease heart beats per minute and encourage relaxation. Chronic stress can take years off a dog’s life by causing increased heart rate and blood pressure, suppression of digestion and muscle overstimulation. Sound therapy can help alleviate that stress!
